Mondra has been named EMEA Ecosystem Startup of the Year at the 2026 dunnhumby Retail Innovation Forum, led by dunnhumby and dunnhumby ventures.
A proper milestone for us.
As part of this, we’ve also been fast-tracked into the Innovators’ Showcase at NRF Paris this September.
It’s a big win for the team!
In the context of the event
The Forum brought together over 200 senior leaders from across retail, brands and technology. The theme running through it was simple: Community is becoming the new operating model for innovation.
A lot of the discussion centred on why good ideas don’t make it past pilot stage, and what it actually takes to scale them into real commercial value.
That’s the backdrop to this award. It’s not just about having an interesting idea. It’s about being able to plug into that ecosystem and make something work in practice.

Why Mondra was recognised
Mondra is becoming the intelligence layer the food system runs on and our focus has been consistent.
We provide domain-specific intelligence for food supply chains, partnering directly with commercial teams to help protect revenue and future-proof the business against an increasingly volatile trading environment.
At the core of this is a simple idea. The data already exists. It just isn’t being used well enough.
Mondra brings that data together to create dynamic, supply-chain digital twins of every SKU, with upstream risk and hazard data layered in.
This recognition speaks of our ability to allow teams movement from reactive decisions to something more controlled and predictive.
What this means in practice
Supply chain volatility costs food companies billions every year. Most teams are still dealing with that volatility after it hits.
Mondra enables a different approach.
Anticipating risks before they impact availability or quality
Making faster, better-informed commercial decisions
Protecting margin and performance across the product range
The result is measurable. In many cases, this translates into a 5% uplift in net operating profit.
Today, over 50% of UK food production is already running on Mondra, informing more resilient day-to-day decision making.
What this unlocks
Being named Ecosystem Startup of the Year is a moment, but it’s also a door opener.
The Innovators’ Showcase at NRF Paris puts this in front of a global audience of retailers and partners who are actively looking for solutions that can scale.
More conversations. More scrutiny. More opportunities to prove this works in the real world.
A quick thank you
Huge credit to the Mondra team. There’s a lot of work behind something like this.
And thanks to dunnhumby and dunnhumby ventures for the recognition.
We’ll take the win, then get back to building.
